If You Keep Time, Keep Score

How’s that business plan working for you?
Sure, it’s only February, but that means you’ve had weeks to begin executing your 2015 practice development plan.  Have you secured pitch meetings and speaking engagements? Have you calendared articles and blog posts and key media moments? Are you tracking referrals and mining referral sources and making headway on your prospective client lunch planning? Have you scheduled meetings with other practices to capitalize on cross-marketing opportunities? Are you meeting with reporters who serve as opinion leaders in your key markets? Are your CLE credits up to date? Have you reviewed your website and Linked In biographies in the last 6 months? Do you have any important proposals to prepare for? Have you set hour targets that are on track and achievable?
Partners, you have so much to do.  So make sure all the doing is recorded in a simple and empowering business plan.  Then, put that plan somewhere close by and refer to it often.  Stay focused and keep score.  If you record it, you will do it.
